Halloween is fast approaching, so it’s time to get creative in the costume department! Whether you have an evening of trick-or-treating planned or you’re attending one of our Halloween parties it’s so much fun to get your little ones dressed up. Plus if you’re attending our Halloween party at Play Valley Rotherham or Play Valley Sheffield you can win prizes for the best dressed! Here are a few homemade Halloween costume ideas for your seriously spooky little ones:
1) Sweet and Simple
There’s no need to spend a fortune on a costume if you don’t want to, as a DIY one looks just as good! Pick something sweet and simple then put your own twist on it. Take a look through your child’s toy box for inspiration, or create a simple witch or ghost costume.
2) Pick a Favourite Character
Why not pick one of your child’s favourite characters, maybe from a book or TV, and give it a spooky twist! Your DIY Halloween costume doesn’t even need to be scary, it can just be fun. If your child has an old hoodie in their wardrobe then why not add white teeth to make a simple Baby Shark!
3) Good enough to eat!
Your little one is already super sweet, but why not make them even sweeter by dressing them up as their favourite treat. Whether it’s grapes or Smarties, get creative and see what you can come up with.
4) Get Involved
Why should the kids get to have all the fun! Get involved too and create a costume for you both. It’s a great way to get pre-walkers involved.
5) Take it to the next level!
If you love Halloween and you’re determined to give your kid a makeover that will get everyone talking, then go for it! Does your child dream of being a toy solider or a Play Valley rainbow, whatever it is, you can make it happen.
Now it’s over to you!
If you’re attending one of our parties, at Play Valley Rotherham or Play Valley Sheffield, we look forward to seeing you there.
Happy Halloween!
