Job Title: Marketing Communications Executive
Rate of Pay: £22,000 – £25,000 per annum

Reports to: Head of Operations
Contract Type: Permanent (Full Time – 37.5 hours)
Location: Play Valley (Manvers (HQ) – Rotary Drive, Wath upon Dearne, Rotherham S63 7FD) – Also
will be required to visit – Doncaster (DN4) | Sheffield – (S9) | Dinnington – (S25)
Supervisory responsibility for: Marketing

Job Overview:
As Communications Manager your role will include scoping, planning, and delivering communication
plans across our social media channels, website, email marketing platforms, internal CRM systems,
and printed materials.

Working closely with our Head of Operations, including management and Centre Managers, you will
interpret business needs and create dynamic and creative marketing and content strategies to drive
growth aligned with set KPIs.

You will implement a consistent voice across all activity that champions and reflects our brand and
persona. Building and maintaining a positive public image for Play Valley and support in enhancing its
public opinion and reputation.

Key Responsibilities & Duties includes.

Market Research
• Competitor Analysis for all 4 Play Valley locations
• Pricing Analysis
• Location Demographics
• Research into the newest technology for indoor play centres to enhance customer’s experience

Brand Management
• Ensuring all sites are following the Play Valley Brand Guidelines
• Define each sites brand colors
• Introduction of Play Valleys very own Mascot (This can include our own merchandise offerings)

Social media management
• Creating, maintain, and manage the social media schedule and strategy for all Play Valley sites through the social media scheduling platform.
• Managing social media platforms: LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and Threads.
• Manage social media ‘live’ content at selected events.
• Create engaging and attractive written copy with clear CTA’s driving engagement and inbound enquiries for bookings and walk-ins.
• Create supporting assets such as photos, videos/GIF’s and graphics via graphic design software.
• Promotion of Events using online platforms
• Produce detailed management information and analytics reporting on key metrics such as CTR’s, engagement, inbound enquires.
• Share and post content on behalf of members and external stakeholders.
• Arrange and manage photography and videography services as required.
• Manage requests from Centre Managers and other employees in a professional, logical, and timely manner.

Email marketing
• Create, maintain, and manage the email marketing schedule and strategy for Play Valley through the email marketing platform (Mailchimp). This includes:
O Play Valley eshots to members and non-members – News and information, party packages and events
O Member eshots – News and information, products, services, offers.
O Internal stakeholder eshots –Bulletins, internal monthly news.
• Create engaging and attractive written copy with clear CTA’s.
• Create supporting assets such as photos, videos/GIF’s and graphics via graphic design software.
• Produce detailed analytics and reporting on key metrics such as CTR’s, engagement, inbound leads.
• Manage requests from Centre Managers and other employees in a professional, logical, and timely manner.

Website management
• Updating content, copy, and assets across the Play Valley website.
• Uploading Play Valley internal news and events.
• Creation of Blogging posts to help promote Play Valley and support with SEO.
• Manage requests from Centre Managers and other employees in a professional, logical, and timely manner.

Event Management
• Support Centre Managers promoting sites events
• Uploading Play Valley internal news and events.
• Manage requests from Centre Managers and other employees in a professional, logical, and timely manner.

External Advertising & Relationship building in the Community
• Maximise advertising opportunities at all our sites.
• Expanding our relationships into the local communities (schools, nursery’s, SEN sessions)
• Creation of literature for all sites for advertising purposes.
• Managing relationship with all print partners

Skills and experience
• Previous experience in a social media, communications, marketing, or PR function.
• Experience managing and growing fast paced social media channels.
• Experience of creating and managing email marketing campaigns and schedules.
• Experience of managing a Content Management System (CMS).
• The ability to produce visual assets; Pictures, videos, GIF’s using appropriate software (Canva, Adobe).
• An understanding of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and Pay-Per-Click (PPC).
• An understanding of website development.
• Have excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Have the ability, confidence, and attitude to get things done quickly and to a high standard, using your own initiative.
• Be friendly, honest, and have a natural ability to build rapport.
